Any items not collected as part of the normal commercial waste collection can be disposed of and recycled via our special collection service.
Using this service means you can be assured that your items are collected within five working days of making an appointment and will be
processed to a high environmental standard and not shipped abroad or fly tipped.

What can be collected?
Electrical items such as computers, printers, photo copiers, TVs etc. are covered by stringent legislation which requires you to dispose of these
items in such way that does not cause harm to the environment. Our special collection service can help you with this.

We also collect other items such as office furniture, wood, carpets, metal, glass and shop fittings.
Please note we cannot collect sand, bricks, concrete, oil, chemicals, paint and asbestos.
Please read below on how to get these items disposed of.

We can arrange collections for larger volumes of waste, for example, after an office clear out or when you are refitting your business' interior.

As with all rubbish collection you'll need to complete a Waste Transfer Note.

The Waste Transfer Note is a legal document between the producer of the rubbish (you) and the carrier (us).
It lists the type of rubbish and can be valid for up to a year.
It is not a contract to provide a service, just a declaration of the waste. Call us on 0800 612 7074 for a copy .

Hazardous wastes
The following information can assist you with the collection and disposal of hazardous waste.

If you produce more than 500kg of hazardous waste per year you need to register with the Environment Agency as a hazardous waste producer.
This is in order to ensure the waste can be collected by a hazardous waste collection service.

Small quantities of batteries can be handed in at libraries and retailers selling batteries.
Larger volumes of batteries need to be collected through a specialised hazardous waste service.
Toner cartridges are often taken back by retailers selling these.
Alternatively you can recycle them by ordering the special collection service alongside your other Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.

Flourescent tubes are classed as hazardous waste.

Don't worry if you're unsure about the exact volume of your rubbish. We can give you a good estimate over the phone by asking a few simple questions.

For very dense items such as soil, sand or rubble, we charge by weight. This doesn't apply to small amounts i.e. under a tonne.

All hazardous waste collections from commercial premises incur a £5 fee for the provision of a HAZARDOUS CONSIGNMENT FORM. This is a legal obligation in line with hazardous waste and WEEE regulations.

 

Items we cannot collect

(Some of these we may be able to arrange collections by someone else depending on quantities)

Gas Canisters, paint, Cleaning liquids, Acids, Pool Chemicals and any item classed as Dangerous Goods (i.e. Flammable liquids or gases, corrosive liquids, oxidisers etc).


WE DO NOT COLLECT ANYTHING BEARING ONE OF THE LABELS ABOVE

On some occasions, if a job looks like it will take more than the allotted time, a supplement may be added (£70 per extra hour). The team will inform you of this before they start.

We cannot take paint, compressed gas cylinders or any other hazardous waste. If you have more than 10 gas cylinders we can organise a collection for you. Your local council will be able to advise you on possible means of disposal for paint.

All major credit and debit cards. Unfortunately we are unable to accept American Express.

Cash
We do accept cash, but we don't encourage cash payment. Please be aware that the team does not usually carry any change in the trucks.

  • These prices are subject to VAT. Sunday jobs incur an additional £5 per hour per man. Our prices start from arrival at the collection address and end at the destination address. We don’t charge extra for travelling to or from the job or for fuel, or insurance.
  • Discounts are available for man and van jobs that start or end in South Manchester.
  • There is a minimum hire time of two hours but after that we only charge in half hour increments making us one of the best value man and van companies in the area.
  • All goods in transit are insured up to £100,000. We hold insurance for  Man and Van services including goods in transit, public liability and companies house certification.

Larger house or office moves

For larger house and office moves, it may not be practical to quote on a per hour basis. We are happy to carry out an obligation-free visit and provide you with a tailored quote.
